How to redo actions

If you’ve been busy “undoing” mistakes it’s quite easy to go a step too far.

Think of it as the keyboard shortcut equivalent of the forward and back button on your web browser.

How to make entire sentences bold, italic or underlined

If you don’t have access to the familiar bold, italic or underlined icons you can still format things you type.

Simply select the sentence you want to edit, and hit CTRL + b for bold, CTRL + i for italics and CTRL + u for underlined.

This works for most email providers, including Gmail.

How to clear formatting

If you’ve been pasting information from lots of different places into one document it can start to look a bit messy.

Stray fonts and sizes are enough to give a perfectionist a seizure.

But there’s a simple way to get everything in proportion and remove any stray bullet points.

Select all the text using CTRL + A and then hold down CTRL + shift  + N.

And if you DO manage to fire off an email with lots of mistakes in, there’s still hope.
