The prevailing perception of marriage is that, the longer it lasts, the worse your s*x life becomes. And a recent survey conducted by Cosmopolitan shows that even young couples may not be the exception to this trend, as many men and women voiced the need for more s*x in their monogamous relationship.
By polling 1,162 respondents between the of ages 20 and 29, Cosmo found that 62 percent of all men surveyed wished they were having more s*x, while 47 percent of women agreed. More important, the survey revealed that many couples were having less s*x after they were married than before they tied the knot. For example, 24 percent of the people surveyed said they were having s*x four or more times per week before they were married. That number dropped to just nine percent when they were asked if they were still having that much s*x after their nuptials.
And while just 14 percent of those surveyed said they were having s*x just once a week before marriage, that figure jumped to 25 percent after the wedding.
Of course, this isn’t a reason to avoid a serious relationship altogether. After all, recent research has shown that married men live longer, make more money, and can have better s*x than their single counterparts.
